Once a museum submits their artwork for approval, It is up to the Comission Admin to make the product live from within Shopify
There are three steps to make a product Live from within Shopify:
Publish to Sales Channels
Shopify allows for products to be managed through different sales channels. For our purposes, we can simply check ALL of the boxes, because we do not have any places where we do not want our product to display
The most important sales channel for the purposes of the comission.art website is "Comission Online Store - Hydrogen App"
Remove the "PENDING" product type
When a museum submits art for approval, the product type is set to "PENDING". This indicates to the application that the artwork should no longer be editable from within the Museum Application, but it also should not yet appear on the website.
If you would like to re-activate editing of the artwork from within the museum app, you can remove the "PENDING" product type, but not set the status to "Active". This will allow the museum admin to go back in and edit the product, then re-submit for approval.
Update the product status from "Draft" to "Active"
On order for any Shopify product to display on a website, it just have a status of "Active". Initially created products are given a status of "Draft" until a Comission Administrator manually changes this to "Active". Once active, and displayed on the proper sales channels, the artwork will appear on the site.
