🖼️Adding a new piece of art

Log into Comission Control Center at commission-application.web.app and click “Add Art” in the top right corner

Save as you go! At any time you can click the blue “Save Progress” button to save your data and return to complete the form later.

Step 1: Enter art details and upload an image
  1. The artist and museum must already exist in Shopify. If they do not, a Commission Administrator must be contacted about the request and they must make the update in Shopify.

  2. Your image should be large enough to fractionalize, but not exceed some of the file size limits. See here for details on file size limits.

  3. the “Artwork Dimensions” field is only for display on the site. It is not used in any DAB size calculations

Step 2: Fractionalize the art.
  1. Enter in the total rows and columns. Click “Re-Fractionalize”

  2. Note: If the number of rows and columns exceeds the number needed to properly display the DAB without degrading the quality, you will get a red error message at the top of the screen. See here for details.

  3. Click “Next” to progress to the next page

Step 3: Set a default price, and optionally add additional pricing tiers.
  1. The first Pricing tier will be the default price of all dabs. Change this to any dollar amount you like.

  2. Optionally add additional pricing tiers. Once a pricing tier is created, select it, then drag or click your mouse on the image to add DABs to that pricing tier.

  3. Click “Next” to progress to the next page

Step 4: Set membership dates

If the current date does not fall between your membership dates the art will not display on the website.

Step 5: Review
  1. Click back to a previous step if you need to change anything.

  2. Click “Submit for Comissioning” if everything looks okay.

  3. A popup will display with some instructions and a confirmation button. Click “Yes, I’m sure” to continue.
