Adding Featured Products

There are two places on the website that display featured products. The home page and the "See Artworks" page.

These two areas are set up as Shopify "Collections" Assigning a product to one of these collections will set it to display in that area of the website. There are two methods you can do this:

Method 1: assigning products to the collection

  1. Log into the Shopify store admin page.

  2. Navigate to "Products", then "Collections". Click either "Featured on Product Page" or "Home Page"

  3. On the edit page, you will see a list of products currently featured in that section. To remove a product, click the "X" icon to the right of the item. To add a product, enter the product title in the "Search Products" field and select it from the search results.

Note: Any product can be added to one of the featured products sections on the site, but if the product is not active, or is not within the active membership dates, it will not display on the website.

The collections for "Home Page" and "Featured on Product Page" do not need to have an image, description or any metafield values.

Method 2: Assigning the collection to the product.

  1. Log into the Shopify store admin page.

  2. Navigate to "Products", then select the artwork you would like to add to one of the featured areas on the website

  3. On the product edit page, find the "Collections" input field on the right.

  4. Enter in either "Home Page" or "Featured on Product Page" into this field to add the current product to that area of the website.

Important: Do not remove any existing collections from this area. This is also the spot where a product is assigned to a museum and an artist.
